1. Google API Services & Google Drive User Data Policy
Google Limited Use Compliance:
SignPicks' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Our service integrates with Google Drive API (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly) to allow users to select and synchronize menu boards, promotional images, and videos from their personal or enterprise Google Drive folders to their paired smart TV displays.
- Read-Only Access: We strictly request read-only access. SignPicks never modifies, deletes, uploads, or shares your Google Drive files.
- No Third-Party Sharing: Your Google Drive files and metadata are never sold, rented, transferred to data brokers, or shared with third parties.
- No AI Model Training: Google Drive user data is never used to train generalized artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning (ML) models.
- Token Security: OAuth access tokens are encrypted and stored solely to enable media synchronization for your registered devices.
2. Information We Collect
A. Account & Authentication Data
- Google Account profile information (Email address, User ID) provided via Google OAuth authentication.
B. TV Device Information
- Hardware identifiers (randomly generated Device ID, Device Model, Manufacturer).
- Network information (IP address, online/offline connection state, WebSocket heartbeat).
- Screen settings (Screen orientation 0°/90°/180°/270°, aspect ratio scale mode, display power state).
C. Media & Playback Data
- Playlist configuration: folder names, file titles, playback sequence, duration in seconds, and scheduled timetable entries.
3. Android TV Accessibility Service Usage
Accessibility Service Disclosure:
The SignPicks Android TV application utilizes Android's AccessibilityService (specifically KeyInjectAccessibilityService) exclusively to control TV display sleep/wake states (performing GLOBAL_ACTION_LOCK_SCREEN) in accordance with the user's scheduled timetables.
- No Keylogging: The Accessibility Service does NOT collect keystrokes, passwords, or personal communications.
- No Screen Content Monitoring: We do NOT inspect, record, or transmit on-screen content or user interface interactions.
- User Authorization: This service is entirely optional and is only enabled after explicit user authorization in Android TV System Settings.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your identity and pair your TV displays with your management console.
- To download and synchronize media files selected by you from Google Drive to your TV displays.
- To execute scheduled power on/off and channel switching commands as configured in your console.
- To provide customer support and service troubleshooting.
5. Data Retention & Account Deletion (User Rights)
In compliance with Google Play Store policies and international data privacy regulations (including GDPR and CCPA), users have full control over their data:
- Device & Playlist Deletion: You can delete any registered TV device, custom playlist, or schedule directly within the web console at [Device Settings] ➔ [Delete TV Device]. All associated pairing records and cached media manifests will be permanently erased immediately.
- Complete Account Deletion Request: If you wish to delete your entire account and all associated data, you can submit a deletion request at any time by emailing us at [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion Request". All account records, Google OAuth tokens, and pairing history will be permanently deleted from our database within 48 hours.
- Revoking Google Access: You can revoke SignPicks' access to your Google Account at any time in your Google Account Security Settings.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard encryption protocols (HTTPS, WSS over TLS 1.3) to protect all communications between your browser, our servers, and your TV displays. Access tokens and session credentials are encrypted at rest and in transit.
